Hello friends and family,

We are now accepting applications for Volunteers to help with International MetisFest!!

This will be a unique experience for all to enjoy and be apart of.  There will be Metis from all across North America  in attendance.  Last year it was estimated at over 5,000 people from all over the world took part in this festival – this year we are hoping to double quite possibly triple - are you with us!!

We are hoping that friends and family such as yourself will want to help and be apart of this.  We are needing your help by volunteering for a few hours 1,2 or all 4 days…. As much as you can give us is most helpful.
 
We are in celebration with the 2010 Manitoba Homecoming as an event to attend in Manitoba in 2010.

We are trying to have people help in 2-4 hours intervals….. So you can just work 2-4 hours and take a break and work again each day, 1 day, 2 days or all 4 days. Or just give us a couple of  hours … every shift is important to us and we thank you.  Work shifts with your family and/or friends!  Feel free to work with your spouse, in-laws, friends, children – (no one under 12 years of age allowed in canteen area.) We can always use children in other areas.

Volunteer Appreciation Incentive Program;

For each person who contributes 4 or more hours of volunteer service – we will give you a ballot to place your name in our volunteers’ only draw box.  With this – for every 4 hours each person puts in as a volunteer we will give you a ballot. We will send the winner to a weekend getaway for 2 to a destination hotel.  We will contact the winner to determine where they live and what place they would like to go for a weekend get-a-way – our thanks! 

Eg; 4 hours on Thursday, 4 hours on Friday, 4 hours on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday – you get 4 ballots!!!  You put in 8 hours in a day – you get an extra ballot!  You do that with a partner and you each get the ballots!!!  More chances to win!!  And trust me – we will be most thankful for your help. 

This contest is open to all volunteers 18 and over only.... children will be given ballots and a chance to win a special gift card to suit them. 

All volunteers putting in more than 3 hours per day will be also given a meal card. eg 3 hours = 1 meal card or 6 hours = 2 meal cards per volunteer person per day.
